Atomic Force Microscopy and the summer of sports/Olympics summer special

Warming us up for the next few weeks of Olympic highs and lows we dug up several papers in which AFM has been used to understand and enhance athletic performance.

 
 

Whilst high-speed imaging hasn’t yet made it into the list of enterable events on the Olympic roster, our microscopy method of choice is making a medal-worthy impact off the track for a variety of sports…
